Mia Laing

Mia has been painting professionally in oils since 2012. Having dabbled in children’s illustration prior to that, the illustration genre still highly influences her art of today. Her recent works have storytelling as their basis, often with a touch of humour and are intricately detailed, collated from numerous reference photos.

Mia has her artworks in private collections worldwide, with many collectors coming back for multiple pieces to grace their homes. Mia has enjoyed a few art awards and has won the coveted People’s Choice’ award on a number of these occasions, with collectors describing her artworks as ‘emotionally uplifting’, a comment of which she is very humbled.

Mia actively encourages and pursues non traditional ways of bringing her artwork into the public eye other than just as a painting, which has kept her artistic journey interesting and energised. She enjoys licensing
her artworks with Lalalandshop Australia and has licensed with Disney Australia, Screen Australia and Dingo Jazz Magazine. Mia recently created two bespoke artworks for use as prints in the newly renovated ‘The Timothee Resort’ in Busselton.
