Holly Kirby
PROFILE
Abstract expressionism is Holly’s passion. Born in Western Australia
and currently residing in Perth WA. Holly has been painting,
exhibiting and selling her art since 2003.
The majority of her childhood was spent growing up in the
Northern Territory. The rich culture and vibrant landscapes
have had a great influence on her, and she often found these
inspirations woven through some of her artwork.
Holly has been a lover of all things creative from a young age.
Her creative journey flourished in the field of graphic design
which eventually lead to her creativity evolving from technical
into emotional. Being quite an introspective person, the
yearning to convey her emotions, memories, and perspectives
artistically was eminent. She found herself drawn to expressing
these in abstract form, thus developing her own organic
expressive style.
Holly’s works are Inspired by varying interests and passions –
psychology, philosophy, architecture, and most recently her
style is very reflective of her love and connection with nature.
She has a keen interest and admiration for so many great artists
of the modern art world. She love’s the deep spiritual connection
that Wassily Kandinsky had with art, and Mark Rothko’s simple
expression of complex thoughts.
She wants her art to evoke emotions and awaken viewers senses,
so that they may discover their own connection between
“Life” and “Art” .
